Camp Takajo prides itself on maintaining a superb facility for our campers. Our year-round staff of carpenters and caretakers constantly improve our grounds and buildings to ensure a safe and modern facility.

Our Indoor facilities include:
SPORTS COMPLEX is used for indoor basketball, street hockey, volleyball, and other group games. It consists of two, large buildings the New Recreation Center and The Field House both are adjacent to our six lighted Tennis Courts.
DINING HALL is our spectacular food service building built in 2005, overlooking Long Lake.
PLAYHOUSE is for dramatics, socials, special events, and other activities involving the entire camp.
MEDICAL CENTER is a state-of-the-art building with a clinic for dispensing medications, examining room, office for nurses, kitchen, TV room, and seven bedrooms for sick campers and staff.
MUSIC HOUSE is for our music hobby classes, band practices, and choral group rehearsals.
Two REC HALLS are for rainy day and evening activities.
MERT'S PLACE “the Camp Movie House” is a large hall equipped with a video projector, surround sound, and a large screen for watching DVD’s and satellite television.
THE LODGE includes our administrative offices, loft area for reading and writing, large meeting room, and deck overlooking Long Lake.
ART CENTER has three sections for painting and drawing, ceramics, and crafts plus a large outdoor deck.
WOODWORKING SHOP contains power and hand tools for all types of construction projects.
WANNIGAN consists of two buildings used for trip preparation and for storing equipment and a large outdoor area for instruction in pioneering and tripping skills.
NATURE SHACK is for our nature study program with adjacent pen holding goats, sheep, pigs and other animals.
MEDIA CENTER consists of state-of-the-art classrooms for digital PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEOGRAPHY, and our Media Office.
TAK TALK is for our journalism hobby classes which produce our camp newspaper, the Tak Talk.
RADIO SHACK is for our camp radio station, WTAK, and for our radio and electronics hobby.
INDIAN HOUSE is used for storing costumes and equipment used in our Indian Council Campfires.
THE COMMONS serves as our Counselor Lounge. It has a large screen TV with satellite reception, computers with high speed Internet connections, sitting areas, and a kitchen complete with refrigerators, microwaves, juice and coffee machines. Used by counselors during their free time, the Commons also features a large, multi-tiered deck overlooking Long Lake.
WEIGHT ROOM houses our Cybex weight training machines, free weights, and other exercise equipment.
